Oh so tired. Just back home after a tiring day... Yesterday camp over at Dunearn, so glad i did because the stupid guard did not come to school and open the gate! So glad i am around and so i open the school gate at 6.30am to allow my facilitators and Sec 3 SLs to come in. First had a briefing with my facilitators at the PE office first, then after that move to concourse to brief the SLs on their activity day today. Did some briefing and admin stuff, managed to clear the groups by 9am. Went breakfast outside school with John, Jessie and Mr Toh, joined by Mr Wong, Mr Yap and Mr Tay. After breakfast car down by John with Jessie to their first few stations at Tanjong Pagar area.
It started raining heavily but the groups continued on without any complaints and i am so glad to see that. That's how a leader should be. After all groups had cleared the tanjong pagar area, John and I took car down to Amoy Street Food Centre to join some groups who have their lunch there. The rain started to lighten and we set off again. Nothing much happen in the middle though, only know i have been always in the rain.. Followed some groups around. After that went to City Hall MRT to meet up with Marvin who joined us late, went over to Marina Square there to wait for groups, in the end something funny happen, dun wan to elaborate, very tired now. Just need to know that Jana Tan is a blur queen and she is vey gullible. Haha...
After that Marvin and I proceed to the War Memorial there, the last station and we waited for all the groups to come to the final station. Gave them difficult quizes and questions which took most of the time taking for all groups. Had group photos and bus back to Dunearn. Had a debrief with the SLs and a small one with Group 2. Just hope that all Sec 3 SLs learn something from it and from here pick up the learning tips and continue to become a better leader. I always live by this quote on leadership and i always seriously believe in it. "Leaders lead by example", thats what i always tell myself and all leaders, because it is a quote everyone must understand.
Anyway finally SL activity day is over, all my hardwork and Jessie hardwork have not been wasted and i am glad all SLs enjoyed themselves and learn something out of it. Felt a great sense of achievement and yup even i have to thickskin a bit, this is one of the best amazing race, but i believe it can be better and the next one i plan WILL be better. :D
"As the rain is falling, i held up an umbrella and shelter you... That moment does not come by often... Seriously, i am contented with how it is now and i will just be overwhelmed and thankful if things could be better... But now, everything is fine for me... It's a moment i will never forget..."
